Looking back on it, the set up was too perfect. Being the royal mage certainly has its benefits, like getting closer to Royalty than the common folk. To bond and love another being just because they're there. However, loving your Queen and being in love with your Queen are different matters entirely. But to have those feelings returned.. Well that should've raised flags right there. It's difficult to see those flags through the flood of happiness and unconditional love for that being..
Rescue the Queen from the supposed King and flee the Kingdom. With her help and my effort we could've eloped... Ruled our own Kingdom... Been truly happy, both of us, for once in our lives... Nothing quite prepares you for the long cold dagger in the back of the heart from somepony who whispers "I love you" with loving and longing eyes...
Long Live the Queen...... and King...
